PROJECTS:
Hoopes Park Little Free Postcard Mailbox: Each Monday free postcards are delivered to share with visitors. Guests often leave notes in the mailbox journal - they are treasures. Stop By! (The mailbox has a new friend ... a Little Free Library is now at Hoopes Park.)
The 5th Grade Pen Pal Project was a HIT! Students in Auburn and Skaneateles spent the school year sending postcards to their pen pal. They grew to know their new friend through correspondence. The end of year finale was a celebratory picnic with all the students. The students from the Auburn class made their own set of postcards to take home and send to friends and family over summer vacation.
DONATIONS
Proceeds from the Postcard Project are donated right back to the community. I have added a NEW source for donation: Auburn's Downtown BID along with the Auburn Education Foundation and Finger Lakes Land Trust.
NEXT UP: I will be sending out another blog soon to showcase the new initiative to print customized Christmas postcards and more information about THE POSTCARD CLUB (a great gift idea).
